Racing in the rain and on a wet track – the risk of aquaplaning is always there.
In the early 1960s Dunlop engineers had started the research on this until then obscure phenomenon. For both road and racing use their work revolutionised tire development, which then really took off. The animation explains aquaplaning and the performance of rain tires.
